Wedged between Amsterdam’s Red Light District and Business District is a quaint little sex toy company called Kiiroo. The Dutch inventors have been making teledildonics and forward-thinking sex toys since 2013, quickly establishing themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the Netherlands and across the globe.
I love that Kiiroo is based in Amsterdam. I imagine them cycling along the canals with baskets full of dildos.
The brand new Kiiroo Onyx+ is an automatic male masturbator machine that uses Kiiroo’s unique technology to stroke your penis up and down for you. It’s a follow-up from their successful Onyx 2 stroker, which has sold out across Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan. They’re pretty popular!
Here I take a look at this new men’s sex toy, giving you the lowdown on the pros, cons, features, and things to consider before buying one. Let’s dive in!
All good sex toys have their strengths and weaknesses, so what about the Kiiroo Onyx+?
All in all, I’d say you’re getting a pretty good men’s sex toy here with the Kiiroo Onyx+. What it lacks in battery life and waterproofing, it makes up for in dick-milking technology, interactive porn functions, Kiiroo’s signature trackpad controls, and a sick design.
Sick in the cool sense, of course.
You can use the Kiiroo Onyx+ with sites like FeelMe.com, but do you have access to this interactive porn and VR porn at the moment? If not, you’ll usually have to pay for a subscription to a VR porn channel like VR Bangers or Wankz VR. If you want the full VR experience, you’d also have to invest in a VR headset.
Like I said, sometimes you get what you pay for. Kiiroo is a Dutch company with high manufacturing standards, working with companies like Fleshlight and OhMiBod to bring you sex toys of the future. All of that stuff comes at a cost!
If you’re looking for a much cheaper masturbator which isn’t quite as good, perhaps try the Lovense Max 2. If you’re more concerned about quality, stick with the Onyx+!
Kiiroo and Fleshlight partnered together to produce the Fleshlight Launch, a blowjob machine that uses a full-sized Fleshlight to automatically wank your penis.
Like basically all men’s masturbator toys, the Kiiroo Onyx+ is pretty noisy. In my opinion, it’s a tad more discreet than the Fleshlight Launch and the Max 2, but not by a lot. If you use the slower stroke settings, you might get away with using it discreetly. However, if you wanna put the pedal to the metal, you’re gonna need to have a lot of privacy. Make sure no one’s in the house!
To get the penis sleeve into its slot, you have to snap off a piece of plastic they call the “protection ring”, put the sleeve in place, and then snap the “protection ring” back on. They mention that this can be difficult in the manual, but Jesus I was not expecting to struggle so much. I really thought that I was going to break the toy trying to snap that ring on and off!
So yeah, you might wanna hit the gym a few times before you try snapping the protection ring on and off. According to Kiiroo’s manual, that all becomes easier over time. On the plus side, you get the feeling that this toy is very well made. It’s nice and weighty when you hold it in your hands – it feels secure and robust.
If you ever find an intruder in your home, maybe reach for the Onyx+ and beat them half to death with it. I’m sure it’ll still wank you off afterward.
The Onyx+ has a charge time of 4+ hours for a battery life of roughly 1 hour of continuous use, so it’s not the most efficient battery system in the world. For a lot of people, 1 hour is more than enough time to get their rocks off, but some guys might wanna jack it for longer or not want to charge the toy so frequently. It all depends on you and your masturbation habits.
The big USP of the Onyx+ is the Bluetooth interactive modes that let you connect the device to your smartphone via the FeelConnect app. You can then visit interactive porn websites like FeelMe.com to sync your phone up with the porn, in turn syncing your Onyx+ up with the movements of the actors in the porn.
Long story short – this masturbator will wank you off “in sync” with interactive porn, making it feel like you’re really there in the scene.
With the FeelConnect App, you can sync your Onyx+ to a female sex toy like the Pearl 2 vibrator, experiencing sensations in tandem with each other whether you’re in the same room or 5,000 miles away. You can also give a partner long-distance control, allowing them to swipe up and down on their phone screen to create “up and down” strokes of your cock.
This phone-swiping mode can be performed locally on your own phone too, but honestly, I think it’s a little bit too primitive to be worth bothering with. Obviously, there’s a little bit of a delay between your finger swiping and the toy responding, and it’s not always 100% accurate. It’s a cool trick, but it’s not really what the Onyx+ is all about.
If you’re not into any of this Bluetooth interactive stuff and you just want a dick-milking machine that’ll turn your legs to jelly, you have options!
First of all, there’s a “manual” mode where you use the trackpad sensors on the front of the toy to manually control the up and down stroke of the toy in real-time. The faster you swipe up and down along the touchpad, the faster you’ll be jacked off.
Does that sound like a lot of effort? Well, there are 4 automatic stroking modes too, all of which are speed adjustable:
1. Full Stroke – simple up-and-down pattern that strokes the full length of the cock
2. Power Up – pattern which speeds up to full speed, slows back down again, and repeats
3. Handjob – stroke designed to mimic a handjob (duh)
4. Storm – pattern which slowly massages up and down the cock before suddenly providing all-over stimulation
Out of these automatic settings, I think that Handjob is my favorite, followed by Full Stroke. While using the “Handjob” setting, I found it relatively easy to shut my eyes, lie back, and imagine myself being tossed off. It’s not gonna fool me for the real thing, but it’s the closest I’ve experienced yet.
First introduced in the original Onyx toy, the Onyx+ uses a system of contracting rings to milk your penis, giving the toy plenty of stroke options to choose from. Many other men’s sex toys and masturbators in this niche use a single “ring” which moves up and down, while the Onyx+ contracts 10 rings in and out independently, causing a sort of “wave” motion to stroke your cock.
Some guys love it, some guys hate it, but the Onyx’s contracting rings system is definitely unique. If you’ve used other male strokers that rely too heavily on vibrations or single mechanisms for pleasure, then this might be a nice new sensation for you to explore. I personally found it to be very pleasurable, exceeding the previous iterations of the Onyx!
The penis sleeve (i.e. the bit where your cock goes) felt powdery when it came out of the packaging, which is something you often find with Fleshlight products. At first, I thought “oh, this is a bit like Fleshlight material”… turns out that it is Fleshlight material after all. Continuing their partnership with Fleshlight, the Onyx+ penis sleeve is made from SuperSkin material.
SuperSkin Material is the patented material that Fleshlight use to make some of their best “lifelike” sex toys. It’s designed to mimic the feel/warmth of human skin, making these men’s sex toys feel more realistic.
The sleeve has a bumpy internal texture for added stimulation (nothing fancy, but it’s decent) and it can easily be removed and turned inside out for cleaning. It’s quite sensitive and can rip fairly easily if you’re too aggressive, so be sure to keep that in mind when cleaning your sleeve.
Taking all the sex stuff off the table for a minute, this thing is so cool-looking! I’d quite proudly display this on a nice shelf or mantelpiece somewhere. It has a bit of a dystopian Black Mirror vibe to it – like an evil Amazon Echo that’s coming to wank you all to death. Personally, I’m super into that vibe. It’s actually quite a discreet design to be honest.
Thankfully, it’s not too tight either. I’m slightly above average girth, and one of my biggest problems with male masturbators is finding ones which don’t choke my poor penis to death. This is a much better fit than something like the Lovense Max 2 or the Autoblow AI – both of which are exceptionally tight.
With all-in-one masturbator toys like this one, you’re always going to have this same problem that the toys only fit a very specific size of cock.
First of all, the Kiiroo Onyx+ is NOT waterproof, so DO NOT submerge it in water. Some toys like this are 100% waterproof, but the Onyx+ is not designed that way. When you’ve deposited your spooge and need to clean up, you simply remove the Fleshlight sleeve, wash it in the sink with warm water and mild soap, then leave to air-dry before replacing. If you need to clean the outside, simply use some sex toy wipes.
If your sleeve becomes too dirty or damaged, you can buy relatively cheap Onyx Fleshlight sleeve replacements on the Kiiroo website.
When it comes to charging and maintaining this toy, it’s pretty easy. It charges via a micro-USB lead, so it can plug into any compatible USB port for charging. This gives you options if you’re looking to be discreet – for example, you could plug it into a USB power bank under your bed to charge it without anyone seeing. Handy!
Thank you for reading my Kiiroo Onyx+ review! As far as adult toys for men goes, this one has tons of great features to rave about, but the interactive porn and VR capabilities are what really set it apart from the competition. It’s one of the very few men’s sex toys that is able to sync to this type of content at all!
It might be pricey and not to everybody’s tastes, but there’s no denying that this fancy Dutch sex toy is a marvel of modern sex toy technology, whether you’re pairing it with a Pearl 2 female vibrator, watching VR porn with it, or just using it as good old fashioned wank machine.
