Before you purchase a sex toy, you naturally lust after the sexual pleasure it’s going to give you. You read about how big it is, how many vibration settings it has, and how it’s going to produce otherworldly orgasms inside your body. One thing that you might gloss over, however, is sex toy storage.
Many of us (myself included) are guilty of throwing all of our sex toys into a plastic bag, stuffing them under our bed, and thinking nothing of it until sexy time rolls back around. However, sex toys are actually very delicate and can become damaged/dirty if you don’t store them properly, rendering them useless and unappealing over time.
CleanlinessIf you don’t store your sex toys properly, they can become dirty and dusty due to dust particles in the air landing on them. If you don’t wash them all the time, then leftover lube and bodily fluid residue can mix with the dust and create a cocktail of nastiness that no one wants to deal with.
Unclean sex toys can lead to bacterial vaginosis, yeast infections, STI transmissions, and a build-up of harmful bacteria for women. Many men’s sex toys, including fleshlight products, can actually go moldy if they’re not cleaned and stored properly.
DamageAs Anabelle Knight from LoveHoney explains, certain sex toys can become damaged if they are not stored properly. This is especially a problem for jelly rubber sex toys, which can become warped and “melt” if they touch other sex toys for long periods of time. The toys can also become discolored and bacteria-laden too… ew.
We don’t recommend buying jelly rubber sex toys or any other toxic sex toys.
Sex toys should not touch in storage. For example, you should use ziplock bags, clean socks, satin pouches, or the toys’ original boxes if they’re stored in the same place. This is especially true for jelly rubber toys, whose chemicals can be unstable and see them “melt” due to chemical reactions.
Discretion
Of course, many of us live with family members, housemates, roommates, and even partners who we want to keep our sex toys a secret from. Properly storing your sex toys in purpose-made adult toy boxes or stealthy sex toy carrying cases means that you can keep them hidden and out of view from prying eyes.

Many of these sex toy storage solutions prioritize a discreet and stealthy appearance – you may be able to hide your sex toys in plain sight with some of these products!
Even if your living situation means that you don’t have to hide your sex toys away, it’s just not a good look to have a dildo collection strewn across your house.
Comes with a drying rack and everything
This plastic sex toy box comes with multiple features, to the point where it may be a little bit overkill and unnecessary. However, the drying rack inside this box makes it a great place to let toys air-dry after cleaning without being seen by prying eyes. There’s also a small hole in the back which allows you to pass certain wire chargers through, but it’s not anything to write home about. This is a good product, but it seems a bit overly complex in some ways.

I mean, I wouldn’t give it to guests to sleep on, that’s just playing with fire… but it blends into a bunch of casual pillows pretty easily.

If you’re into Game Of Thrones, then this Daenerys Targaryen-inspired dragon egg is designed to hide little bullet vibrators and sex toy accessories inside. It’s a cute idea and it’d blend in easily amongst other memorabilia or action figures, but I think it’s a tad overpriced unless you’re super into GoT.
Rizzo would approve
Inspired by Rizzo and her Pink Ladies clique, this naughty sex toy bag has a cool retro design and polyester/denim construction. It also comes with a small leather flogger attached, so it’s great for some light impact play on the side. Maybe you’ll end up with a bun in the oven.

Cheap versatile carrying case
Clocking in at only $15, this product is great for storing sex toys cheaply. Its PVC-coated nylon is waterproof, so lubes cannot spill out, and the plain design of the bag means that you can use it for everyday traveling if you like – it’s not limited to just sex toys.
This is a great cheap versatile carry bag; it’s just a shame that it doesn’t come with a built-in locking mechanism.
Keep your toys nice and warm

This electronically warmed storage pouch hence makes a great place to keep glass toys if you like them warm on your downstairs area. It’s very expensive, but it does have a stealthy design at least. The section about not storing silicone toys together because they’ll melt together is wrong. The article linked says it’s not true for silicone, it’s other toys made of jelly that have that issue.
